报告摘要：We study the effect of transport infrastructure on the inventory. Using thefirm level data combined with road information, we find that roads affect inventory mainly through market expansion, competition aggravation, 

and transportation cost reduction. In terms of economic significance,localinfrastructure mainly helps reduce transportation cost, while neighboring infrastructure mainly deals with market integration by helping expand 

firms' market sizes, indicating infrastructure's strong spillover effect. Thispaper builds up the literature by providing a comprehensive framework 

on analyzing the relationship between transport infrastructure and invent-

ory and more importantly, on estimating the causal effect of infrastructure on economic scale and efficiency.
