In order to give full play to the demonstration and leading role of famous teachers, promote teaching experience exchanges and teaching quality, in particular, to provide a platform for young teachers to learn and observe, our school organized the Teaching Observation Month activity in 403, Teaching Building 7 on the 8^th November. Under the leadership of Secretary Zhang Shumei and Dean Song Xuguang, more than ten teachers from the school participated in the event.

 Our school recommended the "Linear Model" course taught by Professor Tong Xingwei. Professor Tong is a famous teacher and researcher in the school. He has undertaken many important topics. He has won Beijing Normal University Tongding Young Teacher Award (Postgraduate Teaching Award) and been awarded as one of the "Top Ten Most Popular Postgraduate Teachers" by Beijing Normal University.

 Professor Tong Xingwei's lecture was about a robust regression method in a linear model and it was problem-oriented. He started by introducing a simple and familiar situation to the students, and then guided them to think about solutions to the problem. He also demonstrated and explained the pros and cons of various solutions by writing and modifying codes. The class was relaxed and comfortable. Students were active and engaging. They enjoyed the unique and inspiring class a lot. Meanwhile, the observers were inspired.

 After the class, all the teachers (observers) who participated in the lecture carried out analysis and discussion in Conference Room 104, where teachers actively engaged in the discussion and shared their comments and feedback. Finally, Secretary Zhang Shumei and Dean Song Xuguang made a systematic summary of this observation activity.
