【Notice】School of Statistics series academic reports (1st report in 2019)

Lecturer: Jia Jinzhu

       Lecturer profile: Jia Jinzhu, researcher and doctoral supervisor of the School of Public Health at Peking University. Graduated from Peking University in January 2009. From January 2009 to December 2010, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley. From January 2011 to January 2018, he worked in the Department of Probability and Statistics of the School of Mathematical Sciences at Peking University and the University Statistics Center of Beijing. He visited Harvard University for one year during this period. His main research interests are high-dimensional statistical inference, big data analysis, statistical machine learning, and causal inference. He has published many papers in theoretical research on variable selection methods, the application of high-dimensional data and big data statistical learning, and causal inference. He has hosted one youth project of the National Natural Science Foundation and one general project. He participated in one of the 973 key projects, one Innovation Group Project of the National Natural Science Foundation, and one National Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
